Day 5

We have been here four days, and have two left. We've seen a few museums, gone to a Sunday service in Westminster Abbey, crossed London Bridge, seen two plays (one of them at the Globe theatre), and eaten amazing chocolate. We also ate pasties (meat pies) and fish and chips. One neat thing about London is the amount of diversity. In a tourist spot, one expects to hear many languages spoken. But even on the subways and buses into town (our flat is on the outskirts of the city) we hear many languages: Eastern European, African, Middle Eastern, and in downtown, lots of German, a little Spanish and a little French. What a wonderful city!
