Olivia's first birthday

Olivia has turned one year old. And what a year it has been! Having three children pretty much sent me to my knees! But we're so glad Olivia is a part of our family. She is learning things quickly right now. She can effectively use three sign language signs to communicate. She is a great climber! She loves animals, especially those crazy older sisters of hers. All three girls play together well. Just last night, they played with her new birthday presents!
We had a family party here in Indiana, where Ben is doing a rotation this month. We included several Korean traditions done at the celebration of a baby's first birthday: first off, Korean food, and lots of it!! We had Olivia crawl to choose one of four items-- pencil (scholarly future), rice (fertility), money (wealth), and thread (long life). And Olivia chose... the rice! Spilled it all over the floor, actually.
We also played a Korean board game that Nana made. She had a great time opening presents and eating cake and ice cream. Hooray for Olivia!

And we also had snow for Olivia's party that threatened to cut the party's attendance. They braved it anyhow, much to my delight! I'll get the pics up, hopefully by the end of the week.
