A New Leaf

I seem to do everything in spurts. I enjoy cooking, but only in phases. I do a mess of baking for a few days until I get so sick of it (and piled up with dishes) that I swear I'll never do it again. I spend a month or two to write one journal entry that tries to catch up on what happened a month or two ago. I resolve to clean up my bedroom (or whatever part of the house it may be) and end up making a huge project out of it. This is mostly because I am a thorough and meticulous person and I feel that, if it has taken me half a year to get around to cleaning this part of the house, I might as well do a job that will last another six months.
This morning I got on the internet to see what temperature it is outside and rediscovered my sister's blog. I commenced catching up on the last six months of her life, during which she wrote dozens of entries! It was very entertaining and even brought tears to my eyes several times. I saw a glimpse of what her life is like on an everyday basis, not the boring "catch up" that I do in this blog and in my personal journal.
I have known for a long time that I need to get away from diving into a project every several months and just take small bites instead. Today I am turning over a new leaf where this website is concerned. So, even though I have many many new baby pictures you'd love to see, I will take a few minutes to post some tomorrow or maybe this weekend. Today, we're going to go on a walk and enjoy the emergence of spring in Rexburg. (I checked online and it is currently 37 degrees with a high of 49. We won't even need to wear heavy coats!)
